Dwayne Rettinger

Sound financial planning is central to Dwayne Rettinger’s responsibilities in his position as Executive Financial Consultant for IG Wealth Management. As a Certified Financial Planner professional (CFP), Dwayne Rettinger helps clients make informed financial decisions. Whether clients are individuals planning major purchases, business owners calculating investments or corporations planning group retirement plans, Dwayne works to ensure their financial decisions are sound and do not expose them to unnecessary financial risks. Having worked for over ten years at Investors Group, he has dedicated himself to providing quality financial planning services. In addition to helping clients at Investors Group, Dwayne heads a team dedicated to helping accrue and protect the financial wealth of clients. Dwayne and his team’s financial planning services include investment and retirement planning, group retirement plans, estate planning, cash management and tax planning. Dwayne Rettinger earned his Certified Financial Planner designation through Canada’s Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) and is a member of the FPSC Presidents List after placing in the top 1 percent of CFP exam candidates in Canada. Dwayne earned his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo and his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. Following his education, he began his career working at Eli Lilly Canada. He followed this by serving as a senior consultant at Deloitte Canada and then transitioned to KPMG. In his four years at KPMG, Dwayne served in roles of increasing responsibility, moving from Senior Manager to Partner to Vice President. In 2002, Dwayne became a Managing Director at BearingPoint where he led the firm’s Canadian Commercial Services practice for four years until he began his work at Investors Group. As an active part of the community, Dwayne helps raise funds for United Way. He lives in Oakville, Canada with his wife and three children. An avid hockey fan, he enjoys coaching hockey in his free time.
